  • Reside within the Cherokee Triangle boundaries
  • Able to regularly attend CTA Board meetings
  • Able to actively serve on at least three Board committees

Remember that if your 2013 dues have not been paid by the time your application is received, you will not be considered as having met all the criteria.  If the number of applications exceeds the number of vacancies, a general election will be held via a mailing to all current members who live within the Triangle’s boundaries.  Only one ballot per household is permitted.  Instructions for voting will be included on the ballot.  The counting of the ballots will be held at the CTA’s annual meeting, May 20, 2013.  New Trustees are expected to attend their first meeting on June 24, 2013.

Serving on the Board can be a very rewarding and exciting experience.  It helps one to enjoy the full meaning of neighborhood commitment and gives one the sense of helping to secure the special way of life in the Cherokee Triangle.  Consider it.

RE:         NEIGHBORHOOD NOTIFICATION PROGRAM UPDATE

DATE:    JANUARY 31,2013

On February 18, 2013, the Neighborhood Notification Program will be updated with a conversion to an enhanced software program that will provide a notification system of electronic mail notices for development proposals in your Metro Council district of interest.

The advantage of this enhanced program is that it will allow any interested party to receive notices. Because this program does not generate a paper version, individuals do not have to represent a neighborhood group to register for notices – any interested person may register – and they can register for notice of proposals in as many Metro Council districts as they choose.

To sign up for the new and enhanced notification program, simply visit the Planning and Design Services website where there is a link to subscribe: www.louisvilleky.gov/planningdesign

Notices of development proposals that will be sent to you will come from “Louisville Metro Planning and Design Services [LouisvilleKY@public.govdelivery.com]“.

If you have questions regarding this update, you may contact Connie Ewing at connie.ewing@louisvilleky.gov or by phone at 574-5174.
